Kindred Ground ("we," "us," "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of our clients and community members. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it. By booking a class, purchasing a membership, or using our services, you agree to the terms of this policy.
This policy is governed by Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
WHAT WE COLLECT
We collect personal information that is necessary to provide our services, including:
- Name, email address, and phone number
- Date of birth (for minor participants)
- Payment information (processed securely through Momence)
- Health information disclosed voluntarily on waivers or to instructors
- Booking and attendance history
- Photographs or video if you have consented to being captured during class
We do not collect more information than we need, and we do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use your personal information to:
- Process bookings, memberships, and payments
- Communicate with you about your classes, account, or studio updates
- Maintain accurate records for waivers and consent forms
- Ensure the safety of all participants
- Comply with legal obligations
HOW WE STORE IT
Your information is stored securely through Momence, our booking and membership platform. We do not store payment information directly. All payment processing is handled by Momence and their payment partners.
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as required by law. If you close your account, we will remove your personal information from our active records within a reasonable timeframe.
YOUR RIGHTS
You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request corrections to inaccurate information
- Request that your personal information be removed from our records, subject to any legal retention requirements
- Withdraw consent for communications at any time

COMMUNICATIONS
If you have opted in to receive emails or messages from Kindred Ground, you may unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us directly. We do not send unsolicited marketing communications.

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on our website at kindredground.ca. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
